Free SEO checker: your website health check
Type your website. See your score out of 100, what is critical, what needs a look, and exactly what to do, in one report.
Runs on ParSEO, with a small daily limit. No sign-up.
- On-page SEO: address, title, headings, words, keyword density
- Site compliance: robots.txt, sitemap, noindex, https
- Links: every link with its words, and broken links
- PageSpeed: phone and computer, Google's own test
- Social results: link previews and profiles
- Local SEO, technology and accessibility
What this check looks at
It opens your home page once, with no browser, plus the files a crawler looks for around it, asks Google to time it on a phone and a computer, opens up to ten of your links to look for broken ones, and shows 40 or more checks in eight areas: on-page SEO, site compliance, links, PageSpeed, social results, local SEO, technology and accessibility. The report ends with your keyword rankings and top backlinks, and a sidebar jumps to each part. The checks, in plain words:
- Google can find it. https (and http:// moving to it), the page opening cleanly with no bot wall, no noindex or robots.txt block, a canonical tag naming the page, www and plain addresses leading to one site, missing pages answering 404, a sitemap that lists pages and dates them recently, and robots.txt pointing to it.
- What Google shows. A title of 30 to 60 characters that says what you do, a description of 120 to 160 characters, one H1, section headings, at least 300 words of text before JavaScript runs, ten or more links to your other pages, alt text on pictures, the page's language and a phone setting (viewport).
- Ready for AI answers. AI search crawlers let in, no nosnippet limit, an llms.txt, business details in code with name, website, logo, contact and profiles, and structured data that reads cleanly.
- Trust and sharing. Open Graph title, description and picture for shared links, a site icon, a tappable phone or email, every file loading over https, and the basic security headers (HSTS, nosniff, referrer and framing policies).
- Speed basics. How fast the server answered, how heavy the page is, whether it's sent compressed, pictures with set sizes and modern formats (WebP, AVIF), and no scripts in the head that make the browser wait.
How the score works
You start at 100 and every gap costs points, so a few small gaps add up: a site with six or seven half-done basics lands in the 60s. Each check counts in part, not just pass or fail (business details with three of five parts lose 40% of that check's points), and the checks that can hide a whole site cost the most. Two hard limits: if Google can't open or list the page, the score is held at 30, and a site without https is held at 60. A check that couldn't be measured is left out, never counted against you.
You see your score, how each area did, and the one fix worth the most points, in plain words. The full list of fixes, and ParSEO making them with your OK, come with your Day 0.
How to fix what fails
- noindex or a robots.txt block: remove the noindex tag (in WordPress, Settings, Reading, untick "Discourage search engines") and delete any
Disallow: /meant for Googlebot. - AI search blocked: allow OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude-SearchBot by name in robots.txt. You can still block training crawlers such as GPTBot. The AI crawler checker shows each one.
- Title or description the wrong length: write them again and see how they look in the snippet preview.
- No or thin business details: make the code with the business schema generator and paste it into your home page.
- No llms.txt: make one with the llms.txt generator.
- No sitemap: most site builders make one for you; turn it on and add it to Google Search Console.
What it doesn't cover
This is one page and the files around it, read once. It doesn't run JavaScript, measure speed on a real phone or read your other pages, and it doesn't ask Google or AI what they say about you. ParSEO's full check does all of that every day, fixes what it finds with your OK, and keeps dated proof of each change.
Questions people ask
Is the website health check really free?
Yes. No sign-up and no card. You get five live checks a day from one connection, and a site checked in the last six hours shows its saved answer.
Why is my score lower than other SEO tools give me?
It's strict on purpose: 35 checks, each scored in part, with the score held down when something hides your whole site. A high score here means the basics on your home page are really in place.
Does the check change anything on my website?
No. It only reads your home page, robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt, tries your http:// and www addresses, and asks for one made-up page to see that it answers 404.
My site is built with JavaScript. Will the check be wrong?
It reads the page as served, before JavaScript runs. If your title, text or business details only appear after JavaScript, this check will miss them, and so may some AI crawlers. ParSEO's full check reads both versions.
