What we keep
- Your account: your name, email and business name. Your password is never stored, only a one-way scrambled form of it.
- The websites you add: their address and what their public pages show, read the way a visitor, Google and AI crawlers read them, plus pictures of the pages and speed results.
- Searches and questions: the keywords and questions you track, where you show up for them on Google, and what AI assistants answer.
- What you connect: Search Console and Analytics (read only), Bing Webmaster Tools, and publishing connections such as WordPress, Cloudflare, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or Ghost. Keys and passwords for these are stored encrypted.
- What you tell us about your business: hours, phone, prices and answers to our questions, used to write fixes and blog posts that say true things.
- Messages you send us: what you write in the contact form (your name, email, and phone and website if you add them), kept so a person can reply. Never used for marketing.
- Cookies in the app: one cookie with your session, to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
- Cookies on our public pages (myparseo.com): Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and see which pages help people, never for advertising. To opt out, use Google's opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser settings.
Why we keep it
To measure how your business shows up, suggest what to do next, draft fixes and blog posts, publish only what you approve (or allowed in advance), check that it went live, and show you what changed, with the evidence behind every number. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us run ParSEO
Some work is done by other companies, each given only what its job needs:
- Supabase holds ParSEO's database, sign-in and files; a private server (Hostinger) runs the background checks; Vercel serves the website.
- Perplexity answers the questions ParSEO asks; Anthropic (Claude) helps write drafts and posts.
- Serper looks up Google results for your keywords.
- Google provides speed tests, and Search Console and Analytics data when you connect them.
- Google Analytics counts visits to our public pages (myparseo.com), not to the app.
- Microsoft Bing, Cloudflare, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Ghost, only if you connect them.
- An email service, once ParSEO sends email, to deliver the messages you chose.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Removing a website deletes what ParSEO stored for it. Deleting your account deletes everything. Nightly backups keep copies for up to 14 days, then those copies are gone too.
Your choices
- See everything we measured on the Receipts page, with where each number came from.
- Download all your data from Settings.
- Change your details, disconnect any connection, remove a website or delete your account at any time in ParSEO.
- Ask us anything about your data: the contact address listed on this site.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels over HTTPS. Connection keys are encrypted, and only the parts of ParSEO that need them can open them. Every change ParSEO makes to a website can be undone for 14 days.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in ParSEO before a change that matters takes effect.
