ParSEO Edge: fixes on any website, without a plugin
Updated · 2 min read · By The ParSEO team
The short answer
ParSEO Edge puts the fixes you approve into your pages as they're served, on almost any website, without a plugin or code. You add a few one-time records at your domain company and point www at ParSEO's edge, which runs on Cloudflare. If anything at ParSEO goes wrong, your original page is served, and setting the www record back undoes it all.
Key points
- Works on most websites: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Framer, Ghost or custom code.
- Setup is TXT proof records, a certificate, then one www record.
- It fails open: if ParSEO has a problem, your site loads as it is.
- Download your fixes any time, so your web person can make them permanent.

If you leave ParSEO
Fixes served by ParSEO Edge stop when you leave and set your www record back. Before that, press Download your fixes on the Approvals page: it writes out every fix so your web person can put each one into the site itself. Your numbers stay in your own Google accounts.
Set up ParSEO on Any website
Open Publishing in ParSEO
In ParSEO, open Settings, then Connectors, and press Set up ParSEO Edge in the Publishing card.
Add the proof records
ParSEO shows a few TXT records. Add them at your domain company (where your domain's DNS records are managed). ParSEO checks for them by itself; nothing on your site changes yet.
Wait for the certificate
Cloudflare issues the security certificate for your www address. The card shows the wait; there is nothing to do unless a record says otherwise.
Point www at ParSEO Edge
Change your www record to the CNAME value ParSEO shows. If your site opens on the bare domain, forward the bare domain to www.
Approve your first fix
When the card shows Live, approve a fix. It goes into the page for visitors, Google and AI, and you can undo it for 14 days.
How ParSEO Edge works
ParSEO keeps its own Cloudflare zone with Cloudflare for SaaS switched on. For your website it:
- reads where your site is served from today and keeps that as the origin;
- adds your www address as a custom hostname, with a certificate Cloudflare issues for it;
- runs a small Cloudflare Worker for that address, with your approved fixes in it.
When a visitor, Google or an AI crawler asks for a page, the Worker fetches it from your real host and puts in the fixes. Everyone gets the same page: ParSEO never shows search engines something different from what people see.
Why the records come first
The TXT proof records let Cloudflare issue the certificate before anything moves, so there is no downtime. Only then do you point www at the edge. The bare domain forwards to www; most domain companies do that for free.
Safety
- Fails open. If anything at ParSEO goes wrong, the Worker serves your original page.
- Undo in one step. ParSEO keeps your old www value. Set the record back to it and your site returns to how it was, usually within minutes.
- Undo any fix for 14 days from inside ParSEO.
What stays if you leave

Questions people ask
Do I move my domain to Cloudflare?
No. Your domain stays where it is. You add a few records at your domain company and change one: www.
Will my site go down while I set it up?
The certificate is issued before www moves, so visitors keep reaching your site throughout. If anything goes wrong later, the Edge serves your original page.
Does ParSEO Edge slow my site down?
It runs on Cloudflare's network in front of your host. ParSEO hasn't published speed measurements, so check your own pages with Google's PageSpeed Insights before and after.
What if ParSEO Edge has a problem?
The Edge fails open: if anything at ParSEO goes wrong, your original page is served as it is. To take Edge out completely, set your www record back to the value ParSEO shows you; the site returns to how it was, usually within minutes.
Does every fix need my approval?
Yes, unless you switch on Apply safe changes for me. Then descriptions, business details and the guide for AI assistants go live without asking; titles always ask first. Every change can be undone for 14 days.
