Approving fixes and the 14-day undo
Updated · 2 min read · By The ParSEO team
The short answer
Every fix ParSEO prepares shows what's on the page now and what it would be. It waits for your OK, goes live, and ParSEO reads the live page to confirm it. Any fix can be undone from ParSEO for 14 days after it goes live. If you switch on Apply safe changes for me, descriptions, business details and the AI guide go live without asking; titles always ask first.
Key points
- Each fix moves through Proposed, Your OK, Published and Live.
- Undo any fix for 14 days; a page is taken down instead.
- If your site puts the old version back, ParSEO tells you.
- Safe changes can approve themselves, if you switch that on.
Step by step
Open the fix
Open a fix from Approvals or your To do list and read the before and after.
Approve it
Press Approve. The fix goes live through your connection, or comes with steps if none is switched on.
Watch it go live
ParSEO reads the live page and marks the fix Live once it sees it.
Undo if you need to
Press Undo (or Take it down, for a page) any time in the 14 days the button shows. The old version goes back.
What a fix can be
A clearer page title or description, your business details as structured data, a canonical tag, an llms.txt guide for AI assistants, robots.txt lines that let AI crawlers in, a sitemap, the Google Analytics tag, image alt text, removing a noindex tag that hides a page, or a new answer page.
Apply safe changes for me
In Settings, then Connectors, Publishing, you can switch on Apply safe changes for me. Descriptions, business details and the short guide for AI assistants then go live without asking. Titles always ask first. Everything can still be undone for 14 days, and you can switch it off any time.
When your site puts the old version back
Sometimes a theme, a plugin or a person puts the old version back. ParSEO notices on the live page and says so. Put the fix back, or keep your site's version.
Keeping your fixes
If your fixes are served by ParSEO Edge, press Download your fixes on the Approvals page. It writes every fix out so your web person can put them into the site itself.
Questions people ask
Will ParSEO change my site without asking?
No. Every change waits for your OK, unless you switch on Apply safe changes for me, which never covers titles.
What happens after 14 days?
The fix stays live. The Undo button is shown until its date; after that, you can still change the page yourself or approve a new fix.
