Getting started with ParSEO
Updated · 2 min read · By The ParSEO team
The short answer
Sign up with your email, add your website, and the guided setup asks what you do, where your customers are, which searches and questions matter, and who your competitors are, with suggestions read from your own site. Then press Start my first check. That check becomes your Day 0, the starting point every later result is measured against.
Key points
- Setup is a guided list of steps, each with suggestions from your own site.
- Every step can be skipped and finished later from Setup.
- Your first check becomes Day 0.
- Nothing changes on your site until you approve it.
Step by step
Sign up
Create your account with your email address and confirm it from the email you receive.
Add your website
Type your website's address. ParSEO reads the site and suggests answers for the steps that follow.
Tell it about your business
Say what you do and where your customers are. Every suggestion and every Google search is shaped by it.
Pick searches and questions
Choose the Google searches to check daily and the questions to ask AI assistants each week. Start with easy ones you should already win.
Name your competitors
Add who you're compared with on Google and in AI answers. ParSEO suggests some.
Start your first check
Press Start my first check. You watch each step land, and the result becomes your Day 0.
The setup steps
The guided setup covers, in order: your business basics, proving the site is yours, Search Console, Analytics, the searches to check, the questions for AI, your competitors, publishing, your business details (phone, address and hours), and Bing if you use Bing Webmaster Tools. Each step says why it matters, and a side panel offers suggestions read from your site.
You don't need to finish everything at once. Skip a step and come back to it from Setup; the connections live in Settings, then Connectors.
Proving the site is yours
ParSEO only publishes to a site you've proved is yours. Do it yourself, or choose Send to my web person: they get a link with everything they need.
After the first check
You see your pages, where you stand on Google for each search, what AI assistants say, and a picture of your home page on a laptop and a phone. Then ParSEO prepares fixes and post ideas for you to approve.
Questions people ask
Do I need a web person to start?
No. Everything in setup is written for owners. Where something must be done in your website builder, ParSEO gives steps for your platform, or a link to send to whoever made your site.
How long does the first check take?
It depends on the size of your site and how many searches and questions you picked. You can watch each step land as it runs.
