How ParSEO tracks AI answers
Updated · 2 min read · By The ParSEO team
The short answer
Every week, ParSEO asks AI assistants the questions your customers ask: ChatGPT, Google AI and Perplexity on every plan, and Gemini on Grow and Scale. Each question is asked up to three times per engine because answers vary, so you see how often you're named and who is named instead, not one lucky screenshot.
Key points
- One round a week, each question up to 3 times per engine.
- Questions per plan: 10 on Starter, 25 on Grow, 50 on Scale.
- Every answer is marked: named you, or named a rival.
- Questions where AI names competitors and never you become post ideas.
What you see
For each question: which assistants named you, how often across the repeated asks, which competitors they named, and the answer itself. Your AI score shows how often answers name you, with a range rather than a single number, because answers vary.
Why ask more than once
The same question can get a different answer minutes later. Asking up to three times per engine shows a pattern you can trust.
Turning answers into action
When AI recommends competitors for a question and never you, that question becomes one of the strongest post ideas. ParSEO also suggests fixes that help AI read your site, such as your business details as structured data and an llms.txt guide.
Visits from AI
With Google Analytics connected, ParSEO shows visits sent by ChatGPT and other AI assistants on their own.
Questions people ask
Can I ask AI a question outside the weekly round?
Yes. Asking AI on its own isn't a full run and doesn't count toward the two full checks a day.
Which questions should I track?
The ones a customer would ask before choosing a business like yours. Setup suggests some from your site.
